PART I: Creative Writing: An Intellectual and Aesthetic Expression

What is creative writing? Creative writing is the creation of original poems, essays, and short stories. The purpose of creative writing is to both entertain and share human experiences. Creative Writing can be used for entertainment, informative, or persuasive purposes. Imagination is your most powerful weapon here. It develops the intellectual and aesthetic capacities of students, wether or not they aim to write professionally. Each piece of writings brings together the general and is both an invention and a take on the word. these inventions allow students to explore in a concrete way embedded in everyday life practices, and to imagine new possibilities.

PART II (A):Imagery

Maera lay still, his head on his arms, his face in the sand. He felt warm and sticky from the bleeding. Each time he felt the horn coming. Sometimes the bull only bumped him with his head. Once the horn went all the way through him and he felt it go into the sand … Maera felt everything getting larger and larger and then smaller and smaller. Then it got larger and larger and larger and then smaller and smaller. Then everything commenced to run faster and faster as when they speed up a cinematograph film. Then he was dead

PART II (B): Figure of speech

"Night"  Like a cloak of darkness it covers me as I walk to my destination. They say don't go out at night, you'll find the wrong people. And I tell them that maybe those people are the only ones I fit in with. Of course I say that in my head. I can only dream of living on the dangerous side, a girl as mysterious as the night sky that shields her. I don't stray far from my family's side as I walk with them, but my mind's drifting farther than them. A white dog, pale as the moon above, waltz by. They say, stay away, it'll bite. It trots up to me, looking at me, as we talk in our minds. It knows I'm painting to be him, to be free to roam the world. It walks with us till it vanishes behind, looking for something, anything. I wish I could be as free as the dog, the moon dog, running away intro the night.

PART II (C): Diction

"Dreams"  Dreaming of future professions and deciding on careers is one of the most important aspects of growing up.  I would spend hours planning out my future and deciding what direction I wanted to head in. However, my dreams and aspirations were never settled on one decision. It would shift from one profession to the next, one location to the next. The shift could take a few years, or as little as a few weeks when I was younger. I remember wanting to be an actress, acting at the television shows and gaining popularity. I remember wanting to be a lawyer or doctor, just for the money. I remember wanting to be a music producer due to my love of music. I remember being young and jokingly telling people that I wanted to work as a cashier. I remember when I thought I could get into Harvard. I also remember when everything changed: my dreams, my expectations, my realizations. As I grew up, I discovered

PART III (A): Free verse poem

"there's two types of people in this universe."  "there are those type of people who are open books and tell each and every single detail of their life to just about anyone.  and there are those type of people who are closed books and say very little about themselves and their life.  but we all start out the same, but we don't really notice that, well now we hardly notice anything anymore.  we all start out as open books as kids we want to tell our so called friends every good and bad that happens to us as soon as possible.  we tell them the good for they can be happy for us and we like when people are happy for us.  but we also tell them the bad for we don't have to upset all alone because as kids sadness is horrible.  this happens to every kid when growing up its as if they want as many people as possible to be in their life.  for a thousand different reasons that only we will know if we actually think about them.  and
